Ilham Guliyev

Chairman and technical director of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs public union. He was born on March 26, 1976 in Aghdam, Azerbaijan. On 18.06.1995, he started practicing aikido in the Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He was a member of the Azerbaijan Aikido Federation from 14.12.1996 to 31.08.2001. On September 10, 2001 (until 2007), he started working as an aikido instructor at the Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the same time, until October 2004, he worked in the “Aykikan Martial Arts Club LLC” of the Azerbaijan Jiu Jitsu Federation. In 2006, he founded the “Aikikai Aikido Clubs” Public Union. From 2006 to December 2017, he worked as the chief instructor of the union.

Under the “Aikikai Aikido Clubs” Public Union established “Hombu Dojo Azerbaijan” Aikikai Aikido Club, IDDO Aikido Aikikai Club, “Free Fight Sports Club” Public Union, “Katana Aikido Sports Club” Public Union, “Kinology Sports Club” Public Union and Shinjutsu Aikido Sports Club” Public Union. Aikikai Foundation established Azerbaijan Aikido Headquarters and Aikikai Foundation Azerbaijan Aikido Branch. In addition, in 2019, he founded “Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Foundation”, Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Academy, “Aikikai Aikido Psychology” Public Union and “Kendo & Iaydo” Japanese Culture Public Union. In 2017 year “Aikikai Aikido Clubs” Public Union was accepted as a member by Aikikai Foundation World Aikido Headquarters. In 2021, the “Aikikai Aikido Clubs” Public Union was accepted as a member by the International Aikido Federation and Azerbaijan was given a representative office.
