Wilko Vriesman Shihan

  • On May 10-12, 2024, International Aikido Federation Chairman Wilko Vriesman held an international seminar in Guba and Baku. During the seminar, the delegations of the clubs that are members of Aikikai and the International Aikido Federation in Azerbaijan participated. During the visit, an official meeting was held with Olympic champion Farid Mansurov, vice-rector of Azerbaijan State Sports and Physical Education Academy.
  • On May 17-18-19, 2023, the chairman of the International Aikido Federation, Mr. Wilko Vriesman (7th Dan, Shihan), paid an official visit to Azerbaijan. During the visit meeting with the country’s President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Farid Gayibov and others did not take place, but official meetings were held with aikido organizations operating in Azerbaijan. In addition, a seminar was held for Aikikai organizations.

Takanori Kuribayashi Shihan

  • From May 5 to  7, 2017, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union , led by Hombu Dojo instructor Mr. Takanori Kuribayashi (7 Dan, Shihan), was held in Baku at the Branch Dojo Aikikai Azerbaijan Sport Complex. This was the 7th Kuribayashi Sensei workshop, which he conducts in Azerbaijan.
  • From October 28 to  30, 2016, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union , led by Hombu Dojo instructor Mr. Takanori Kuribayashi (7 Dan, Shihan), was held in Baku at the Judo Club 2012 Sport Complex. This was the 6th Kuribayashi Sensei workshop, which he conducts in Azerbaijan.
  • From September 18 to  20, 2015, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union , led by Hombu Dojo instructor Mr. Takanori Kuribayashi (7 Dan, Shihan), was held in Baku at the Judo Club 2012 Sport Complex. This was the 5th Kuribayashi Sensei workshop, which he conducts in Azerbaijan.
  • From October 10 to  12, 2014, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union , led by Hombu Dojo instructor Mr. Takanori Kuribayashi (7 Dan, Shihan), was held in Baku at the Judo Club 2012 Sport Complex. This was the 4th Kuribayashi Sensei workshop, which he conducts in Azerbaijan.
  • From November 1 to  3, 2013, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union , led by Hombu Dojo instructor Mr. Takanori Kuribayashi (7 Dan, Shihan), was held in Baku at the SHUA Sport Complex. This was the 3rd Kuribayashi Sensei workshop, which he conducts in Azerbaijan.
  • From November 2 to  4, 2012, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union , led by Hombu Dojo instructor Mr. Takanori Kuribayashi (7 Dan, Shihan), was held in Baku at the SHUA Sport Complex. This was the 2nd Kuribayashi Sensei workshop, which he conducts in Azerbaijan.
  • From October 1 to  3, 2011, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union , led by Hombu Dojo instructor Mr. Takanori Kuribayashi (7 Dan, Shihan), was held in Baku at the SHUA Sport Complex. This was the 1st Kuribayashi Sensei workshop, which he conducts in Azerbaijan.

Kenji Kumagai Shihan and Hironori Kawasaki Shihan

  • On May 31 and June 1, 2011, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs was held under the leadership of Hidaka Dojo instructor Kenji Kumagai (8 Dan, Shihan) in the Wrestling House of the Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Baku. This was the 2nd seminar held by Kenji Kumagai Sensei in Azerbaijan.
  • On May 31 and June 1, 2011, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union was held under the leadership of Hidaka Dojo instructor Kenji Kumagai (8 Dan, Shihan) in the Wrestling House of the Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Baku. This was the 2nd seminar held by Kenji Kumagai Sensei in Azerbaijan.
  • On March 21-22, 2006, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union was held under the leadership of Hidaka Dojo instructor Hironori Kawasaki (8 Dan, Shihan) in the “SHUA” sports complex in Baku. This was the 1st seminar held by Hironori Kawasaki Sensei in Azerbaijan.
  • On March 21-22, 2006, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union was held under the leadership of Hidaka Dojo instructor Kenji Kumagai (8 Dan, Shihan) in the “SHUA” sports complex in Baku. This was the 1st seminar held by Kenji Kumagai Sensei in Azerbaijan.

Tashihiro Yashiro Sensei and Yusuf Akyurt Sensei

  • On June 21-23, 2006, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union was held under the leadership of Mr. Tashihiro Yashiro (6th Dan) at the “SHUA” sports complex in Baku. This was the 1st seminar held by Tashihiro Yashiro Sensei at Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union.
  • On June 1-23, 2006, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union was held under the leadership of Yusuf Akyurt (6 Dan, Shihan), the instructor of Akyurt Aikido School, in the “SHUA” sports complex in Baku. This was the 2nd seminar conducted by Yusuf Sensei at Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union.
  • On March 19-20, 2006, a traditional seminar of Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union was held under the leadership of Yusuf Akyurt (6 Dan, Shihan), the instructor of Akyurt Aikido School, in the “SHUA” sports complex in Baku. This was the 1st seminar held by Yusuf Sensei at Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union.
