Azerbaijan “Misogi” Aikido Aikikai Club
“Misogi” Aikido Aikikai Club was established in xx.xx.2007 by Natavan Khanmammadli, a natural person with a 2nd Dan black belt in aikido, under the Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union. The club ceased its activities in xx.xx.2013. On 17.03.2025, the club was restored and resumed its activities in Arzu Ryu under the Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union by Hafiz Mustafa, a natural person with a 2nd Dan black belt. The club’s activities are regulated by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Non-Governmental Organizations (Public Unions and Foundations). Misogi (禊) is a part of the Shinto religion, one of the most widespread in Japan. Misogi is a purification ritual performed in the mountains and consists of an ascetic practice of abstinence from excesses followed by ablution in mountain waterfalls located in sacred places.

CLUB KYU & DAN DEGREE EXAM ADMISSION
“Misogi” Aikido Aikikai Club was allowed to independently take the exam for club members from 6th Kyu rank to 4th Dan gorge from 17.03.2025. The attestation rights for the 5th and 6th Dan degrees belong to the Aikikai Foundation – Kagami Biraki. In addition members, Mr. Kuribayashi Takanori Sensei, the shihan of the union, has the right to participate in the Dan degree exams.
