The main task of the High Degree Commission is not to conduct general examinations, but only to deal with the decisions to be made for the presentation of the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Dan’s degrees during the Kagami Biraki event. The Commission is a 4 member committee, the Board has equal rights and the Commission does not consist of a chairman and deputies. The Board decides at a round table who should be awarded the high Dan degree and presents it to the Chairman of the Union.
