International Olympic Committee
The World Games is an 11-day international multi-sport event organized with the support of the International Olympic Committee.
World Games 2022, the year after the Summer Olympics, will showcase the Next Generation of Global Sport in Birmingham from 7-17 July 2022.
An 3,600 elite athletes from more than 100 countries competed for gold in more than 30 of the world’s fastest growing sports.

Azerbaijan was represented at this event by 2 members of the national team of Aykikay Aikido Clubs Public Union Chingiz Mammadov 3 Dan and Fakhri Gafarli 3 Dan. Azerbaijan was invited to the World Games for the first time. Thus, Azerbaijan Aikido is a member of the International Aikido Federation and its representative office in Azerbaijan since November 13, 2021.

Global Association of International Sports Federations, Alliance of Independent Recognized Sports Members, International World Games Association, European Aikido Federation and Aikido Journal.
