The Aikikai Aikido Azerbaijan Academy began its activities on April 18, 2019. Academy, Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union was established by the Technical Director (Ilham Guliyev) of the Union for the purpose of training of trainers within the and was approved by the Board of Directors. The main role of the Academy is to provide teaching of Aikikai Aikido in accordance with the requirements of international Aikido practice and based on technical, physical, philosophical, psychological, theoretical and practical knowledge based on the main program of Aikido, classroom teachers, instructors, trainers, providing students with ideal teaching and serving the spiritual development of members of society (students) in the form of the basic method of teaching Aikido and the constant acquisition of new knowledge.

On xx.08.2019 was registred in the Minstry of Justice of Azerbaijan Republic by Azerbaijan “Aikikai Aikido Club” Public Union and physical persons Arzu Mikayilov. Public Union performs its activity based on non-government organizations legislation of Azerbaijan Republic. Aikikai Aikido Academy base, was established with joint cooperation Public Union Disciplinary Commission, Exam Commission, Teaching Committee, Psychology Center, Aikido Journal and martial arts Kendo & Iaido.
Note: Holders of 4 and above degrees can be admitted to the teaching staff at the Academy. Members of the staff must live in the country and be highly qualified members of the association clubs.

Academy Examination Commission
Examination Commission of the Academy issues to the training committee of the union an instructor certificate and instructor diploma, examination committee members kyu of the certificate examiner’s and certificate for the teacher to lead a course at the Academy. Also gives license to the take part Yudansha and 1 kyu participate in the advanced training exam. Examination commissions for Dan and Kyu degrees to lead the technical director of the union.
The purpose of the Academy
Aikikai Aikido trainings in accordance with the international aikido practice requirements and teaching the basics of technical, physical, philosophical, psychological, theoretical and practical knowledge based on Aikido’s basic program to high grade teachers, instructors, coaches, instructor assistants and senior learners perfectly and how the members of the union (students) are to be trained in the Aikido base teaching methodology, and to continually advance the spiritual development of new knowledge.
To achieve the goals of the Academy, the following tasks are carried out:
- Aikikai Aikido supports the development of teaching staff;
- As Aikikai Aikido’s higher education center, she oversees and directs teaching methods and activities of aykikay aykido education centers (club, school, group) in the country;
- Increasing the general knowledge of the teaching committee on Aikikai Aikido philosophy methodology;
- Organization of courses for Aikikai Aikido psychology teaching;
- Invite Aikikai Aikido professionals to study courses;
- Issuance of a certificate and a diploma to the teaching committee of Aikikai Aikido.

Course Training
The Academy has one level of education, and it is intended for high-class aikidoists, including people who have 2 and 1 kyu. The purpose of the training is to make the basic technique (kihon waza) aikido smooth and effective, and also to improve the knowledge of the instructors, as directed by the technical director. Courses throughout the course are taught by the same teachers (teachers of the Academy).

Aikido Academy Hombu Aikikai
The Aikido Academy, which is the only Aikido school officially recognized by the Tokyo City Government, is a course offered separate from the Regular and Beginner classes at Aikido Hombu Dojo. This course is run as a small group lesson, meeting twice a week for 90 minutes each time, for a duration of approximately 5 months. This is not a full-time study course, and does not offer any special studies other than Aikido training. This course is not designed for special promotions or considerations. There are three levels of study; Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Each of them begins instruction with the fundamentals, and is taught by the same instructors throughout the course.
